LPD National Police Week 5k/10k Run & 1 Mile Run
The LPD National Police Week event takes place in Laredo, Texas, hosted at the El Metro Park & Ride located at 1800 Hillside Rd. Organized by the Laredo Police Department, this athletic event focuses on community participation during National Police Week. Participants can choose between three different distances:
- 10 km individual run
- 5 km individual run
- 1 mile run and walk
Registration includes age group categories for both the 5 km and 10 km distances. These categories are established for both male and female participants, starting from 14 and under, 15-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, and reaching 60 and over. Awards are provided for the top three finishers in each of these brackets.
Event participants receive certain amenities based on availability. The first 100 registered individuals receive a free shirt. Finishers medals are also provided to those who complete the course, while supplies last. Packet pickup for the event is organized on the days leading up to the race.
