Event Overview
The Lowca 10k is a road running event scheduled for Tuesday, 28 April 2026. The race starts and finishes at Lowca Rugby Club in Cumbria. Online registration opens on 20 February 2026, with entries accepted on the day up to a maximum of 250 participants.
Course Details
The 10 km route is an out-and-back course run almost entirely on the west coast cycle way. It starts across the road from the rugby club and proceeds via Distington to a turning point near Harrington. The course will be well signed and marshalled. A drinks station is provided at approximately the 3 km and 7 km points, with water also available at the finish.
Registration and Fees
Entry fees are tiered. Online entry costs £12 for UKA members and £14 for non-members. Entry on the day costs £15 for UKA members and £17 for non-members. Race numbers are collected at registration on the event day.
Facilities and Services
Parking, toilets, and showers are available at Lowca Rugby Club. All competitors are invited to post-race refreshments. The event will be chip-timed, with live results published online. A safety briefing will be held before the start, and first aid provision, a lead bike, and a sweeper runner will be in place. Prizes are presented during a buffet after runners have finished.
