Love in Motion 5K
Love in Motion 5K is organized by Steadman Baptist Church on November 14, 2026, at the church parking lot at 2885 Steadman Rd., Tallapoosa, GA. Proceeds will go to Live 2540's November Match to support the children of Liberia and staff at Jesus Loves Me Children's Center. The event is open to church members, their families, and the broader community.
Distances include:
- 3.1 Miles 5K run or walk
- 1 Mile fun run or walk
The course starts and finishes at the church parking lot. Runners and walkers will pass small hills with approximately 148 feet total elevation, the Taylor Christmas Tree Farm, pastures, and animals near Backwoods Steakhouse. Aid stations are located at the parking lot and a middle intersection and can be accessed about three times during the 5K at roughly 0.5, 1.5, and 2.5 miles. The finish area at the church includes refreshments and post race activities.
Event logistics include at least two water stations, a designated first aid team and emergency plan, volunteers at key intersections, and photography volunteers. The 5K will be electronically timed by Wire2WireRunning using MyLaps equipment. Awards for the 5K include top three overall male and female, top master male and female, and top three in age group categories. The 1 Mile is intended as a fun run and has no awards.
Childcare will be provided on the playground by vetted church staff when a child registration form is completed. The event is rain or shine. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
