Lord Hill Billy Trail Run
Lord Hill Billy Trail Run takes place at Lord Hill Regional Park in Snohomish, WA with course options of 5K, 10K, and Half Marathon. All routes start and finish near the Snohomish River at the park's south entrance and use a mix of wider and narrower trails through forest and wetland areas.
The courses are moderately to strongly hilly and include a notably steep section on the Pipeline Trail that climbs from the quarry. Elevation gain for each distance is provided: 5K 590 feet, 10K 1115 feet, Half Marathon 2380 feet. Maps are available for each route. Runners should expect some steeper grades, some flatter sections, and stretches with twists and turns.
Aid station coverage varies by distance. The 5K has no aid stations. The 10K has one fully stocked aid station at 3.3 miles. The half marathon has two fully stocked aid stations at 3.3 and 7.8 miles. Aid stations offer water, an electrolyte drink, and small carbohydrate or salty snacks.
The start and finish are at the Lord Hill Crooked Lakes Trailhead where a large gravel parking lot is available but can be busy with other park users. A tarp and tent will be provided for personal gear. During the event trails remain open to other users including horseback riders and mountain bikers. Dogs are not allowed on the course. In emergencies call 9-1-1 and participants are responsible for their own safety. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
