London Training Night - 7 August 2026
London Training Night is a free coach led session held at Battersea Park. The session is led by RunThrough coaches and is structured to develop endurance, pacing and running mechanics through a mix of threshold work, speed focused efforts and guided running drills.
The programme combines lactate threshold development with neuromuscular speed and anaerobic stimulation. Longer efforts are used to build aerobic strength and to practise controlled, comfortably hard running. Shorter repetitions aim to sharpen leg speed, improve running economy and train the ability to change pace when fatigued.
Coaches provide practical insights into core principles of endurance training and effective pacing. The session focuses on bridging endurance and speed within the same workout so runners can work on maintaining form and efficiency while moving between sustained threshold efforts and faster, sharper running.
The format is intended to support improvements in fatigue resistance, race responsiveness and confidence when holding pace late in a race. The session is suitable for runners aiming for a personal best, those seeking to refine pacing, or runners who want coaching in a supportive group setting.
