London Fields Aquathlon
The London Fields Aquathlon is organised by the London Fields Triathlon Club at London Fields Lido. The event combines a pool swim followed by a run around London Fields Common and is listed as part of the Senior London League. Entries are open for the event.
The swim is 400 m in a 50 m outdoor heated pool with four lanes. Competitors swim each lane up one side and back the other, dip under the lane rope to the next lane, and complete eight lengths in total. Tumble turns are permitted but care is required around other swimmers.
The run is a 5 km loop around London Fields Common, completed as five laps. The course mixes pavement and grass and includes a timing mat to record each lap. Competitors are responsible for completing the correct number of laps and should remain alert to pedestrians, cyclists and dogs in the park. Participants should wear footwear appropriate for the day’s weather.
Competitors must set up their transition area before the event begins. The lido is located in the north east corner of London Fields and can be accessed from London Fields or London Fields West Side off Richmond Road; the listed address is London Fields Lido, London Fields, E8 3EU. Lockers at the lido use a £1 coin which is returned. Past events include recorded results and participant numbers, for example 65 participants in 2024 and 91 in 2023.
