Llangunnor 5K Fun Run

Llangunnor 5K Fun Run is organised by Llangunnor Community Council and takes place at Llangunnor Community Park, Carmarthen SA31 2LE. The organised 5 km route runs mainly on pavements with some road crossings, and the course is signposted and marshalled. The race starts and finishes in Llangunnor Park.

The course includes uphill, downhill and flat sections and offers views over the Towy Valley and Carmarthen. The event is open to participants aged 12 and over; 12 to 15 year olds must be supervised by an adult. Entry for the 5K is charged at £12, with a reduced rate of £10 for ARC or UK/Welsh affiliated runners who provide a membership number or club name. Kids races in the park are free of charge.

Prizes are awarded for 1st, 2nd and 3rd places in the male and female categories and for 1st junior. A trained emergency response person will be present, but participants remain responsible for their own safety and must abide by the rules of UK Athletics. No parking is available inside the park; local parking and street parking are used instead, and attendees are asked to be respectful of local residents. Any remaining proceeds support Llangunnor Community Council community activities.
