LLAA Community Support Annual 5Kish Run/Walk
The Lake Lucerne Advancement Association Community Support Committee organizes an annual 5Kish run and walk in Crandon, Wisconsin. The course distance is 3.08 Miles and the event centers on the LLAA Club House at 4031 County Rd W, Crandon, WI 54520. Transportation is provided between the club house and the race start, with return rides available after the event.
There is no registration fee; a suggested donation of $35 per racer is requested, and participants may donate a different amount if they prefer. The designated beneficiary is Crandon Area Rescue, a non profit ambulance squad that serves about 435 square miles and operates four ambulances with around 20 active responders.
Event materials this year include a swag bag for participants. Recent editions of the event have raised funds for the beneficiary and the surrounding community; over the past three years the race raised more than $10,500 in direct donations and community contributions inspired by the event added more than $5,000. One year featured over 90 racers, 18 volunteers, and support from multiple local sponsors who provided funds, products, or services. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
