Linz - Run the Steel City
The Oberbank Linz Danube Marathon has been a central sports event in the city of Linz since 2002. It attracting over 21,000 participants annually and is known for its fast course. The event features a diverse range of competitions held over a weekend, including traditional running distances and alternative sports disciplines.
Participants can choose from several categories:

- Special Olympics Run
The event also includes specific classifications such as school runs, fire department championships, and the Austrian State Championships. The main competitions take place on Sunday, April 11, 2027, though events are also held on the preceding Saturday.
Registration is subject to participant limits for each competition. Registration for the State Championships is handled separately through the ÖLV system. For participants under 18, a parent's declaration of consent is mandatory. Organizers offer various services, including refreshment stations, pacemakers, and medical care. There is an option to book a personal medal engraving during registration. Use of bicycles, baby carriages, or roller skates is prohibited in the running categories.
