Oberbank Linz Danube Marathon
The Oberbank Linz Danube Marathon is a multi‑race running event in Linz held annually since 2002. The 25th edition is scheduled for April 11, 2027. In recent years the event has attracted over 21,000 participants and around 150,000 visitors, and it is organised with multiple race formats across a marathon weekend.
The programme includes several competitions with limited starting places, for example the Oberbank Marathon (2,800 places), the ORLEN Half Marathon (5,700 places), the Hyundai Relay Marathon (700 relays), the LINZ AG Quarter Marathon (4,800 places), the Generali 5K (1,400 places), the Ascendor Handbike Half Marathon (25 places) and the Fischer Brot Inline Skating Half Marathon (200 places). Additional events include an ÖGK Junior Marathon and a Special Olympics Run.
Registration details for 2027 note an entry deadline of 18 March 2027 and various contingent prices per race. Registration is possible only while starting places last and the National Marathon Championships must be entered via the ATHMIN system of the ÖLV; those entries are excluded from participant limits. Practical notes for participants include that race numbers will not be issued on race day, under‑18 participants need parental consent, medal engraving is available for €12, and the use of bicycles, roller skates or baby carriages is not permitted and leads to disqualification.
