About the race
L'Infernal Trail des Vosges returns for its 18th edition from 10 to 13 September 2026. The event is organised in the Massif des Vosges and crosses more than thirty communes in the Vosges and Haut‑Rhin. The parcours include crests, open plateaus, waterfalls, natural lakes, narrow and glacial valleys, villages and sites of historical and archaeological interest.
The event offers 14 race formats, from very long ultras to short and family formats, and stages a village with animations and services. The organiser publishes a Roadbook that gathers the rules, course details with checkpoints and aid stations, safety instructions and mandatory equipment. Live tracking, shuttle information and an official shop are mentioned among the practical services provided.
The event is run entirely by volunteers and the organiser expects several thousand participants. Support points and base camps also host animations and services for runners and their entourages. A public podium awards prizes across the main formats at the end of the weekend.
