Limerick Night Run : 29 October 2026
The event is a night road race in Limerick City on 29 October 2026 that covers 5 km on tarmac through the city centre. The route runs along Nicholas Street, Patrick Street, O'Connell Street, past The Crescent and O'Connell Avenue, out to Punches Cross and back, finishing at King John’s Castle Plaza. Roads are closed and the course is fully marshalled.
Entry is limited to 2000 runners. Chip timing is provided and every finisher receives a custom Halloween medal. A live DJ and Halloween lighting are staged at the finish area near King John’s Castle. Water stations and refreshments are available on course and at the finish. A bag drop is provided at check-in.
The event is open to people aged 16 and older. Costumes are optional and photographers capture images on the course. Train access is available via Limerick Colbert Station with an approximate 15–20 minute walk to the castle. Nearby bus stops include Thomond Bridge and Bridge Street and city bus routes 302 and 303 stop close to the finish.
