Limerick Night Run 2026
The Limerick Night Run 2026 is a Halloween evening 5km road race through Limerick City on October 30, 2026. The event is limited to 500 participants and both start and finish are at King John's Castle Plaza.
The course is described as flat and fast on tarmac city roads. The route passes through Nicholas Street, Patrick Street, O'Connell Street, The Crescent, O'Connell Avenue and Punches Cross before looping back to the castle. The course is fully marshalled and road-managed.
Entries include participation in the costume competition, a custom Halloween themed finisher's medal for every participant, chip timing for official results, bag drop at Castle Plaza, water stations along the route and post-race refreshments. There will be a live DJ and light show at the finish area.
Age requirement is 16 plus on race day. Pacers are not provided for this race. The event welcomes groups, clubs and families and notes that costume dressing is optional but encouraged. The costume competition awards flights for two to Madrid for first place and a €100 cash prize for second place. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
