Limerick Night Run 2026
The event takes place on October 30, 2026 in Limerick City with the start and finish at King John's Castle Plaza. The field is limited to 500 participants and the event includes a costume competition with prizes.
The course is a 5 km loop on tarmac city roads. The route runs through Nicholas Street, Patrick Street, O'Connell Street, The Crescent, O'Connell Avenue and Punches Cross before returning to the castle. The course is fully marshalled and road managed, and chip timing is used for official results. There will not be pacers for this race.
Entries are open to runners and walkers aged 16 and over. The event features a costume competition judged at the finish with flights for two to Madrid for the best costume and a second prize of €100. Every participant receives a custom Halloween themed finisher's medal. Additional event services include a live DJ and light show at King John's Castle Plaza, water stations along the route, post race refreshments, a bag drop service at the plaza, and chip timed results.
