Lights on for Families 5k and Fun Run
Lights on for Families 5k and Fun Run takes place on 07/11/2026 at Sugar House Park in Salt Lake City, UT. The event uses a nighttime, glow-themed course and aims to raise funds for the Family Support Center and related local services.
The course offers two distance options and junior divisions.
- The Full Glow 5k: two circuits of the park inner loop.
- The Quick Spark Fun Run: one loop, about 1.5 miles.
- The Full Glow 5k Junior for ages 5 to 11.
- The Quick Spark Fun Run Junior.
Event features include neon zones with blacklights and high-energy music, a starter glow kit provided to every participant, and an after-party with music and community activities. The atmosphere is focused on visible light elements and music along the route and at the finish area.
Funds raised through registration and donations support local crisis nurseries, parenting education classes, and the LifeStart village operated by the Family Support Center. Race shirts and other swag are ordered in advance: registrations completed before June 20 are guaranteed a shirt and swag. Registrations after June 20 are not guaranteed shirts; remaining inventory will be distributed at packet pickup on a first-come, first-served basis while supplies last.
