Lights on for Families 5k and Fun Run: Salt Lake City
The Lights on for Families 5k and Fun Run is a nighttime community event on July 11, 2026, held at Sugar House Park, 1330 E 2100 S, Salt Lake City, Utah. The event combines a glow themed running course with fundraising for the Family Support Center.
Participants can choose between two course options:
- The Full Glow 5k, which follows the park inner loop twice.
- The Quick Spark fun run, approximately one loop at about 1.5 miles.
There are junior categories for ages 5 to 11 for both course options.
The course features glow stations with blacklights and high energy music. Each participant receives a starter pack of glow in the dark accessories. An after party with music and community activities follows the finish.
All funds raised through registration and donations are directed to local programs including crisis nurseries, parenting education classes, and the LifeStart village run by the Family Support Center.
Race shirts and event swag are guaranteed for registrations completed before June 20. Registrations after June 20 are not guaranteed shirts; any remaining inventory will be distributed at packet pickup while supplies last. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
