Lights on for Families 5k and Fun Run
The event takes place on July 11, 2026 at Sugar House Park in Salt Lake City. It is a night-time community run organized to raise funds for the Family Support Center. The course uses the park inner loop and includes illuminated sections, music, and post-run festivities.
Participants can choose between two distance options:
- Full Glow - complete a 5K by circling the park's inner loop twice.
- Quick Spark - complete one loop, about 1.5 miles, then proceed to the finish area.
The event features "Glow Stations" with blacklights and high-energy music, and each participant receives a starter glow kit. There is an after-party area with music and community-focused activities. Funds raised support local crisis nurseries, parenting education classes, and the LifeStart village.
There is a shirt and swag policy tied to registration timing. Registration completed before June 20 guarantees a race shirt and swag. Registration after June 20 does not guarantee shirts or swag; remaining inventory will be distributed at packet pickup on a first-come, first-served basis while supplies last.
