Lightning Bolt 10k
The Lightning Bolt 10k is a measured road race of 10 km held in Langley Burrell, Chippenham SN15 4LL. It is part of a five race Lightning Bolt 10k series for 2026. The course has 14 metres of elevation and is registered with UKA/Run Britain.
Chip timing is used and there are distance markers every mile. The event publishes an official course certificate and offers race photography and on site toilets. The i Compete pace team provides guided pacing from 35 to 70 minutes. Organisers operate an optional medal policy so runners can choose a lower entry price without a medal.
Entry options and payment features are stated for online and day entries, with different rates for affiliated and unaffiliated runners. Klarna is offered as a payment option to pay in instalments without added interest. There are dedicated spaces for elite entries for men who have run under 31 minutes or women who have run under 34 minutes in the previous 12 months.
The event sets an expected finish time limit of 1 hour 15 minutes after which marshals may be withdrawn and runners must make their own way back to the finish. The race is suitable for visually impaired athletes if the organiser is informed in advance, but it is not suitable for wheelchair athletes following recent risk assessments.
