Liberty Station Relay and 5K
The Liberty Station Relay and 5K is an Independence Day running event held on July 4, 2027 at NTC Park in Liberty Station, San Diego. The course runs through park paths and historic naval architecture with waterfront views along the San Diego Bay. Event parking is available on surrounding streets and in nearby parking lots.
Distances offered include:
- Solo 5K
- Half Marathon (5 laps)
- Half Marathon Relay (teams of 2 to 5)
Course surfaces are approximately 95% pavement and 5% trail. The event features a designated team tailgate area and awards for overall and age group finishers. Timing is provided with chipped timing; each participant receives a T-shirt and a medal.
The event will offer one packet pickup option in 2027, with the pickup location to be announced early in 2027. Pre-race pickup is optional; participants may authorize another person to pick up their packet if needed. Military and service members, active or veteran, are offered special discounts through the organizer.
