Liberty Elementary's Run for the Kids
Liberty Elementary Parent Teacher Organization (LPTO) hosts a community running event in Sallisaw, OK on April 11, 2026. The event takes place at Old Sallisaw High School Park, 218 W Creek Ave, Sallisaw 74955, and consists of a distance race and a shorter fun run/walk.

The 5k is held on a USATF certified course previously used for the Diamond Daze Festival Run and will be timed by I:40 Race Service. A course map is provided by the organizers.
The LPTO runs this event to raise funds to support teachers and students, with a specific aim to fund a shaded pavilion for the Pre-K playground. The organization also notes ongoing activities such as monthly teacher appreciation and support for classroom financial needs.
Registration details include early bird fees of $15 for the Fun Run and $25 for the 5k available through March 15; fees increase by $5 from March 16 to race day. Registrations made by March 20 are guaranteed a t-shirt; registrations after that date receive shirts on a first come first serve basis.
