16th Annual Leo Aguilar Memorial 5K Walk/Run for Fun & Community Health Fair
The 16th Annual Leo Aguilar Memorial 5K Walk/Run for Fun & Community Health Fair takes place in Los Fresnos, TX, and is organized by the Leo Aguilar Foundation in partnership with Los Fresnos CISD. The event raises funds to support scholarships for local students and includes awards for top finishers and health and wellness activities as part of the community fair.
All 5K participants will be chip timed this year to provide accurate race results. The event offers multiple entry categories for different age groups and participant types. Adult/Premium registration includes one official event T-shirt; T-shirt registrations must be submitted by October 8, 2026. Elementary, middle, and high school students have discounted student-rate registration that does not include a T-shirt unless they choose the Adult/Premium option.
Distances offered:
- 1 Mile for student and adult entries
- 5K (3.1 Miles) with chip timing for all 5K participants
Some student 1 Mile entries are not eligible for medals. Registration opens September 4, 2026. The event combines timed running and walking options with community health activities and fundraising for local student scholarships. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
