The 25K starts at Thompson Park, rounds Beaver Lake, and climbs about 2,900 vertical feet over roughly four miles into Lead King Basin. The course traverses near 10,000 feet, rolls past waterfalls, passes through the old mining town of Crystal and the 110-year-old Crystal Mill, then climbs out of the river valley and descends Daniel's Hill back to Marble.
The Quarry Climb begins and ends at Marble Children's Park, follows a route through town and Millsite Park, then up and back down Quarry Road.
The kids 2.5K starts and finishes at Thompson Park, loops around Marble, and includes a t-shirt, a goody bag, and an entry in a kids raffle.
All race entries include a custom event shirt, a post-race barbecue meal, and a cold beer; finishers receive a custom medal. The event is a member of the Colorado Mountain Half Marathon+ Series and directs proceeds to Marble Charter School. Mobile phone service is typically very limited near Thompson Park.
