About the race
The Laveen Turkey Trot is the 20th annual community running event held on Thanksgiving Day along the Laveen Area Conveyance Channel. The course offers scenic views of the Sierra Estrella mountain ranges and features professionally timed, flat looping routes with awards for top finishers.

- 5K Run/Walk: chip timed 3.1 mile course; corrals will be used.
- 10K Run: chip timed 6.2 mile course along the conveyance channel.
Event features include finisher medals for all participants, allowance of leashed pets, and encouragement of festive costumes. Infants and preschool children may accompany families on the course without registration but will not receive race items such as bibs, shirts, or medals.
Pre-event packet pickup is available on the days before the race at Robeks in Laveen Village, or participants may opt to have race packets mailed for a $15 shipping and handling fee if selected by the registration deadline. A race shirt is available at packet pickup or by mail; the 1 Mile registration does not include a shirt without separate purchase.
