Lausanne Marathon
The Lausanne Marathon is a multi-distance running event held in Lausanne, Switzerland. The courses connect Place Milan (start) and Bellerive-Plage (finish). Participants can choose from several competitive and non-competitive categories:
- Marathon (42.195 km): Open to participants aged 18 and over.
- Half Marathon (21.09 km): Open to participants aged 16 and over.
- 10 km course: Open to participants aged 14 and over.
- 10 km Walking: Open to participants aged 10 and over.
- 10 km Nordic Walking: Open to participants aged 10 and over.
The event provides various services to participants, including a Marathon Expo held on the Friday and Saturday preceding the race, bib collection on-site, and pace leaders for the marathon. A finisher medal and a T-shirt are included in the base registration fee. For an additional fee, runners can order a personalized plate with their name and time to attach to the back of their medal.
Logistical support includes bag drop-off services, warm-up sessions, and refreshment stations located along the courses. Medical recommendations and massage services are also available to participants. The event supports a charitable cause, specifically the "Léman Hope" association, which aids young cancer survivors.
