Lausanne Marathon
The Lausanne Marathon is an annual running event held in Lausanne, Switzerland. The 2026 edition is scheduled for October 25th. The event offers multiple distances across different terrain and categories, departing from Place Milan and finishing at Bellerive-Plage.
Participants can choose from the following distances:
- 42.195 km (Marathon): Open to participants from age 18.
- 21.09 km (Half Marathon): Open to participants from age 16.
- 10 km (Race): Open to participants from age 14.
- 10 km (Walking): Open to participants from age 10.
- 10 km (Nordic Walking): Open to participants from age 10.
Total race time limits are set for each distance, with 6 hours and 30 minutes allowed for the full marathon. Registration includes a medal and a t-shirt. On-site race services include warm-up sessions, refuelling stations along the courses, pacemakers for specific times, and massage services. Runners can deposit their bags at a designated area at the event site, though no transport is provided from the start to the arrival.
There is no on-site registration during the event weekend. Participants can elect to have their race bibs sent to their home or pick them up in Lausanne during the three days leading up to the race. A marathon exhibition is also held on the Friday and Saturday preceding the Sunday races.
The event partners with the association Léman Hope, which supports young people in cancer remission. Policyholders of certain insurance groups may be eligible for registration discounts. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
