About the race
Toughest Last Man Standing Utah is a backyard ultra held on the Tushar Mountain trails at Eagle Point Resort in Beaver, Utah. The format follows the backyard ultra rules: each participant must complete one 3 mile loop every hour and return to the corral before the next bell. If a runner fails to start a loop on time, they are eliminated from the event.
Entry options include an individual race and a two person relay. Listed registration fees in the event information are $85 for the individual entry and $160 for the two person relay; published pricing tiers range from $85 to $135 depending on participant counts. The field is limited to 200 runners, after which a waitlist is used.
Event giveaways include shirts and medals. A new 2026 feature is award ribbon sliders that attach to medal ribbons for reaching ultradistance thresholds listed by the organizer: 50k, 50 mile, 100k, and 100 mile. Awards are planned for Overall Champion, Male and Female Overall, Masters Male and Female, and Grand Masters Male and Female as noted by the organizer.
The course runs on mountain trails at Eagle Point Resort and is presented in the backyard ultra format that measures progress by completed loops rather than a fixed final distance. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
