Event overview
The Las Calaveritas event takes place on November 1, 2026 at Hansen Dam in Lake View Terrace, California (11770 Foothill Blvd, Lake View Terrace, CA 91342). It is the 2nd annual edition and includes the following distances:
- 10 Miler
- 5 Miler
- 5K
The event is framed as a run/walk to coincide with Day of the Dead celebrations.
Registration and entry
Registration for the events opened June 17, 2026. Age minimums are listed for some distances: the 10 Miler is open to ages 13 and older; the 5 Miler is open to ages 10 and older. Entry fees vary by distance and by date, with early-bird and later pricing tiers listed for each distance. All registration fees include an added processing fee.
Services and awards
Participants receive a custom finisher medal. A custom race shirt is available for the first 400 registrations. On-site services include a sports massage provided by Vision For Enrichment, electronic chip timing, finish line water and snacks, music, and a free downloadable finisher certificate. Awards are given for overall places and age groups across distances, plus team awards for fastest team and largest team. Winners must be present at the awards ceremony; awards are not mailed or available for later pickup.
