Laredo Wellness Games
The Laredo Wellness Games is a multi-category sports event held at the Buena Vista Sports Complex in Laredo, Texas. The primary feature of the event is a course designed with various obstacles, offering both competitive and non-competitive participation formats. The event grounds include viewing areas situated near the obstacles and at the finish line for spectators.
Available event distances and formats include:
- 5K Obstacle Run (Competitive)
- 5K Obstacle Run (Non-Competitive)
The course is open to a wide range of age groups. Participants aged 10 and under must be accompanied on the course by a parent or guardian. For participants aged 11 to 17, parental consent is required, though the guardian does not need to be on the course. To ensure safety, pets are prohibited on the course and within the event grounds, except for certified service animals.
Registration includes an event shirt for the first 250 participants, with distribution occurring during the designated packet pickup at the Laredo Health Department. On-site registration is also available at the sports complex on the morning of the event. The race is professionally timed using disposable chips attached to race bibs. Awards are presented to the top three male, female, and adaptive finishers in several age categories starting from age 13 through 50 and over. Free parking is provided for all attendees inside the park. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
