Lake Wyola Road Race : 44th Annual
The event on June 14, 2026 takes place at 6 Shore Drive, Shutesbury, MA, with courses around Lake Wyola and nearby roads. The main road race and walk follow a counterclockwise loop starting at the Lake Wyola Association Hall and run mostly on tree canopied country roads. The first half of that 4.8 miles is on pavement with an uphill section. The second half is primarily dirt roads, mostly downhill, with a short paved finish.
A separate fun run of 1.5 miles is an out and back along Lakeview Road and Wendell Road, with a short climb about half a mile in. That course starts and ends on pavement and includes roughly one mile on dirt or gravel.
Additional event details include guaranteed t shirts for participants who preregister before May 28, 2026; extra shirts available on a first come, first served basis. Free post race refreshments are provided for all runners and walkers. Awards include cash for the men’s and women’s open winners, merchandise awards for top three finishers by age bracket in the road race, awards for the top three male and female finishers in the walk, and fun run awards for participants under 16. A raffle of additional prizes will follow the awards ceremony.
