Lake Wyola Road Race
The 44th Annual Lake Wyola Road Race is held at 6 Shore Drive in Shutesbury, Massachusetts. The event includes a longer road event that follows most of the lake and a shorter fun run along nearby roads.
- 4.8 mile road race and walk
- 1.5 mile fun run and walk
The 4.8 mile course starts at the Lake Wyola Association Hall on Shore Drive and runs counter clockwise around the lake on mostly tree-canopied country roads. The first half of this course is on pavement and includes an uphill climb. The second half follows dirt roads, is mostly downhill, and includes a short paved section at the finish with a flat finish area.
The 1.5 mile fun run is an out-and-back on Lakeview Road and Wendell Road. It begins and ends on pavement, includes about a mile on dirt or gravel, and has a short climb roughly half a mile from the start.
The venue includes Lake Wyola State Park beach and picnic areas. Free post race refreshments are provided for participants. T shirts are guaranteed for runners and walkers who pre-register before May 28, 2026. On site registration is available on race morning. Awards include cash for open winners, merchandise for age group top finishers, fun run awards for those under 16, and a raffle after the awards ceremony.
