Lake Life 8K
The Lake Life 8K is a running and walking event held in Hamilton, Indiana, during the local Summerfest at Hamilton Lake. The race follows a unique course that begins at the Fish Creek Trail head. This initial section of the route features a flat surface made of crushed gravel, which runs alongside Fish Creek.
Participants transition from the gravel path into the Acres Land Trust grounds. This segment of the course consists of natural trails and grassy fields. After completing the loop through the land trust area, the route leads participants back to the other side of the creek to finish the distance.
The event is organized by Race Beyond Limits, a non-profit organization. Net profits from the race are donated to the Acres Land Trust organization to support its conservation efforts.
