Lahinch Half Marathon & 6 Mile

The Lahinch Half Marathon & 6 Mile takes place in Lahinch, County Clare. The event is scheduled for September 20, 2026. The second edition follows a 2025 inaugural event that had 1,500 participants, with over 2,000 runners expected for 2026.

Two distances are offered: a half marathon (21.1 km) and a 6 mile (9.6 km). Both routes start on the Lahinch Liscannor Road and take in views of the Atlantic coastline. The course goes through the village of Liscannor and the surrounding Clare countryside, featuring coastal stretches and rural roads before finishing back in Lahinch.

Race number and t-shirt collection is available on the Saturday before the event from 11:00 to 13:00, and on race morning from 7:00 to 8:30. Participants should bring their confirmation email or name for collection. There will be three water stations on the half marathon course, at approximately 5 km, 11 km, and 17 km.

Parking is available in the town on a pay-and-display basis. The event is not a closed-road race, so runners are advised to remain aware of traffic. Stewards will be present at key points. A bag drop and toilets will be available at the start/finish area and along the route. Every runner receives a custom race t-shirt and a finisher medal.
