Lahinch Half Marathon & 6 Mile
The event takes place on September 20, 2026 in Lahinch, County Clare along the Wild Atlantic Way. It is the second edition, following a sold out inaugural event in 2025 with 1,500 participants and an expected field of over 2,000 runners for 2026.
Distances
- Half Marathon (21.1 km)
- 6 Mile (9.6 km)
Both routes begin on the Lahinch Liscannor Road and follow coastal stretches, rural roads and sections through the village of Liscannor and the surrounding Clare countryside, returning to finish in Lahinch. The course is run on open roads with marshals and local Gardaí assisting at key junctions and crossings.
Race services include number collection on the day and a pre event pickup window, a bag drop, toilets, refreshments and medical support at the start and finish area. There will be three water stations on the course supplying bottled water with waste bins nearby. Every finisher receives a custom race t shirt and a finisher medal. Official results will be published shortly after the event.
Entry policies note that refunds are not offered after registration, though transfers to another runner may be possible in some cases. Parking around the town operates on a pay and display basis. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
