Lady Garden Family Challenge in Battersea Park
The Lady Garden Family Challenge is an event organised in support of the Lady Garden Foundation, a national women’s health charity established in 2014 that raises awareness and funds for the five gynaecological cancers. The foundation initially funded research at The Royal Marsden NHS Foundation Trust and has expanded to regular events, education programmes and research funding.
The event takes place in Battersea Park with the meet point at The Bandstand. The course runs entirely on paved paths and is set out as laps around the park: the 5 km is two laps and the 10 km is four laps. Participants receive a medal and a goody bag, and race numbers are collected on the day. Long-standing sponsors for the event include KX, KXU and ME+EM.
Parking inside the park is pay and display with limited spaces; pay and display car parks are located at Albert Gate, Chelsea Gate and Rosery Gate. Public transport options include Battersea Park and Queenstown Road stations, and nearby Tube and bus connections via Victoria and Sloane Square.
