Lace Up Against Stigma 5K Run and 1 Mile Walk
Prevention Plus of Burlington County hosts the 4th Annual Lace Up Against Stigma event in partnership with the Lenape High School SADD club and Lenape High School Wellness Center. The event takes place at the Lenape High School complex in Medford, New Jersey, at 235 Hartford Road.
The program includes two distances:
- 5K
- 1 Mile Walk
The 5K follows a cross-country style route. The 1 mile walk takes place on the school track and will feature a DJ and various vendor tables.
The event aims to reduce and eliminate stigmatized thinking about substance use disorder and mental health issues. Proceeds will benefit Burlington County community members by funding evidence-based prevention education programs. Prevention Plus will also make a donation to the Lenape SADD Club to support youth decision-making efforts.
Additional details include group pricing where a group/team of five members qualifies each member for a five dollar discount. Race day registration is available online through RunSignup and race shirts will be provided on a first come, first served basis for race day registrants. Awards will be presented to the top male and female finishers in these age categories: 14 and under, 15 to 25, 26 to 39, and 40 and older. Parking is available on the Church Road side of the high school complex. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
