About the race
Prevention Plus of Burlington County hosts the 5th Annual Lace Up Against Stigma 5K Run and 1 Mile Walk on 05/08/2027 at Lenape High School in Medford, New Jersey, in partnership with the Lenape High School SADD club and Lenape High School Wellness Center.
The event offers the following distances:
- 5K cross-country style route
- 1 Mile Walk on the track with a DJ and vendor tables
The stated goal is to reduce and eliminate stigmatized thinking around substance use disorder and mental health, and to help community members access care and support without shame. Proceeds will fund evidence-based prevention education programs in Burlington County. Organizers will also make a donation to the Lenape SADD Club to support youth decision-making efforts.
Registration details for the listed events include entry fees of $30.00 for the 5K and $25.00 for the 1 Mile Walk. Group/team registration is available; groups that reach five members receive a $5 discount per member. Race day registration will be available online through Run Signup. Race shirts for day-of registration are available on a first come, first served basis.
Awards will be presented to the top male and female finishers in these age categories: 14 and under, 15 to 25, 26 to 39, and 40 and older. Parking is on the Church Road side of the high school complex. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
