Labor Day Triathlon
The Labor Day Triathlon takes place in Bountiful, Utah on Monday September 7, 2026. The event is organized in true triathlon order: swim then bike then run. Packet pick up is held race morning in the Bountiful Junior High gym attached to the SDRC at 550 North 200 West, Bountiful, Utah. Parking is available at the facility and nearby streets; an offsite school lot is used for additional parking.
Distances offered
- Sprint distance: 350 yard swim, 12 mile bike, 3.35 mile run
- Novice distance: 150 yard swim, 2.4 mile bike, 1.5 mile run
The swim takes place in the competition lap pool. Sprint swimmers use a serpentine pattern and must enter the water feet first; novice swimmers complete six pool lengths and exit on the pool east side. All bikes and equipment must be placed in the shared transition area before it closes; the transition is first come first serve. Helmets are required for both bike distances and riders must walk or run to the bike mount line. The bike courses remain open to traffic and participants are required to follow traffic laws. The sprint run course uses right hand turns and includes an aid station on Porter Lane and Main with water, Gatorade, and first aid.
Participant items include a gender specific race shirt, finisher medal, race bib, post race drinks and snacks, and sponsor swag. Sprint awards are given to overall top finishers and age group places; youth divisions receive awards for top places. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
