Labor Day Triathlon
The Labor Day Triathlon takes place in Bountiful, Utah on September 7, 2026. The event is organized as a true triathlon in swim-bike-run order and offers both a sprint distance and a novice distance. Packet pick up is available the morning of the race in the Bountiful Junior High gym at 550 North 200 West; facility parking and nearby offsite parking are noted.
Distances:
- Sprint: 350 yard swim, 12 mile bike, 3.35 mile run
- Novice: 150 yard swim, 2.4 mile bike, 1.5 mile run
The swim uses the competition lap pool with a serpentine format; individual timing begins when a swimmer enters the water. All bikes and equipment must be placed in the transition area before it closes. Helmets are required for the bike portion. The roads on the bike and run courses are not closed to traffic, so participants are required to follow all traffic laws. The sprint run course includes an aid station on Porter Lane and Main supplying water, sports drink, and basic first aid.
Participant items include a gender specific technical shirt, a finisher medal, a custom race bib, post-race drinks and snacks, and sponsor giveaways. Sprint distance awards are given by overall and age divisions; youth divisions and novice division awards follow the event divisions. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
