Labor Day Triathlon
The Labor Day Triathlon in Bountiful, Utah is a pool-to-road triathlon offering two race distances and a true triathlon order: swim, bike, then run. The event takes place on Monday, September 7, 2026, at the South Davis Recreation Center and Bountiful Junior High facility.
Distances offered
- Sprint: 350 yard swim, 12 mile bike, 3.35 mile run
- Novice: 150 yard swim, 2.4 mile bike, 1.5 mile run
Swim segments are held in the competition lap pool with seeded starts and serpentine lane swimming. Novice swimmers complete shorter laps and exit near the east-side pool stairs or designated cone. All bike participants must wear a helmet and adhere to mount and dismount procedures at the marked lines. The bike and run courses remain open to traffic; participants are required to follow traffic laws. The sprint run includes an aid station halfway on Porter Lane and Main with water, sports drink, and first aid.
Transition area is shared by both distances and operates on a first come, first serve basis; once a racer exits the transition area they may not re-enter. Packet pickup is available race morning in the junior high gym. Registration closes the Saturday before the race and race day registration is offered only at packet pickup. Participant items include a gender specific shirt, finisher medal, bib, post-race refreshments, sponsor samples, and a free training class opportunity. Awards will be prepared for pickup at the recreation center the day after the race. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
