About the race
La Mision Brasil is a mountain trekking race held around Passa Quatro, Minas Gerais, which provides access to the Serra Fina section of the Serra da Mantiqueira. Participants select one distance at registration and must complete that course within the time limits set in the event regulations.

The Serra Fina is a high mountain chain with altitudes above 2,000 meters; its highest point, Pedra da Mina, reaches 2,798 meters. The event follows the principle of individual self-sufficiency: each runner is responsible for their own food, hydration, clothing and safety during the course, and must be prepared to face mountain conditions such as strong wind, cold, rain or intense sun without reliance on the organization.
Since 2017 the event has been organized by Tambo. The race description notes that participants may run or walk, stop and rest where they choose, but must complete their chosen route inside the established cutoffs.
