La Jolla Half Marathon, 10K, & 5K
The La Jolla Half Marathon, 10K, and 5K take place in San Diego, California on May 15, 2027. The event uses point-to-point courses along the San Diego coast and finishes at La Jolla Cove.
The courses and distances:
- Half marathon: Del Mar Fairgrounds to La Jolla Cove via Torrey Pines
- 10K: starts atop Torrey Pines mesa, coastal route to La Jolla Cove
- 5K: mostly downhill, follows the final 3.1 miles of the half marathon course
The half marathon route follows a coastal corridor to the summit of Torrey Pines State Park, continues along the Torrey Pines mesa, and descends through the residential streets of La Jolla Shores before the finish at La Jolla Cove. The 10K begins at the top of the mesa and bypasses the Torrey Pines climb, offering a fast coastal descent to the same finish. The 5K highlights the scenic final miles of the half marathon course and is described as mostly downhill.
