La Jolla Half Marathon & 5K
The La Jolla Half Marathon & 5K takes place in San Diego on May 16, 2026. The event includes a half marathon, a 10K, and a 5K that use coastal roads and local parks in the La Jolla and Torrey Pines area.
The half marathon starts at the Del Mar Fairgrounds and follows a coastal route that reaches the climb to the summit of Torrey Pines State Park. From the summit the course continues atop Torrey Pines mesa, descends through residential La Jolla Shores, and finishes at La Jolla Cove.
The 10K begins at the top of the mesa and follows a coastal route that bypasses the Torrey Pines climb, leading through La Jolla Shores to a net downhill finish at La Jolla Cove. The 5K covers the final portion of the half marathon course, is mostly downhill, and highlights the coastal views of the last 3.1 miles of the longer route.
Additional event details list the race location as 2260 Jimmy Durante Blvd., San Diego 92014. Packet pickup is scheduled the day before the race at Scripps Park in La Jolla Cove, across the street from La Jolla Cove Suites hotel.
