La Jolla Half Marathon, 10K, and 5K
The event on May 16, 2026, includes a half marathon, a 10K, and a 5K along the San Diego coast. The courses are point to point and run through coastal and residential areas, finishing at La Jolla Cove.
The half marathon begins at the Del Mar Fairgrounds, follows a coastal route to the summit of Torrey Pines State Park, continues atop the Torrey Pines mesa, then descends through La Jolla Shores to La Jolla Cove.
- Half marathon - starts at Del Mar Fairgrounds, includes Torrey Pines climb and La Jolla Cove finish.
- 10K - starts atop the mesa, follows a fast coastal route, bypasses the Torrey Pines climb.
- 5K - mostly downhill and covers the final 3.1 miles of the half marathon course.
The event weekend includes an expo and packet pickup. The Kiwanis Club of La Jolla is associated with the event and carries a mission focused on serving children and supporting community programs. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
