La Jolla Half Marathon, 10K, and 5K
The event takes place in San Diego, California on May 16, 2026. It features three distances offered on coastal, point-to-point courses along the San Diego shoreline.
- Half marathon - point-to-point coastal route.
- 10K - starts atop Torrey Pines mesa.
- 5K - mostly downhill course.
The half marathon begins at the Del Mar Fairgrounds and follows a scenic coastal route to the summit of Torrey Pines State Park. The course continues along the Torrey Pines mesa, passes through residential La Jolla Shores, and finishes at La Jolla Cove.
The 10K starts at the top of the mesa, bypasses the Torrey Pines climb, follows a coastal route through La Jolla Shores, and provides a net-downhill finish at La Jolla Cove. The 5K covers much of the final 3.1 miles of the half marathon course and is described as mostly downhill with coastal views.
Race weekend includes an expo and packet pickup. The event is organized by the Kiwanis Club of La Jolla, an organization that carries out programs serving children in the community.
