La Cruda 5K and 1 Mile in Old Town Helotes
La Cruda is a running event scheduled for January 1, 2027 in Old Town Helotes. The event features two official distances and uses a mapped course in the Helotes area. The event offers participant shirts and finisher medals for a limited number of finishers.

Awards are given to Overall Male and Female and Overall Masters Male and Female for ages 40 and over. Age group awards are given 1st through 3rd in these groups: 1-20, 21-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70-79, 80+. Finisher medals are awarded to the first 1500 finishers and the event notes it will sell out at 1500 participants. Gender specific tech shirts are guaranteed for participants who register by midnight 12/15/26.
Registration pricing is tiered by date and includes a child pricing option. Children ages 4 to 11 have a lower entry fee and may purchase a shirt; they are not eligible for awards. Children age 3 and under may attend free with a paid adult and an adult must attend with children. The event follows a no refunds policy.
Packet pick up is scheduled for Saturday December 26 and also will be available at the race site on race day. The event location is 14391 Old Bandera Rd., Helotes, TX 78023. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
