La Corrida de Quimper is a festive running event held in the historic streets of Quimper, featuring two races: a 6 km women's race and an 8 km men's race. Participants run through cobblestone streets, flanked by the rivers Steir and Odet, and past charming half-timbered houses dating back to the 15th and 16th centuries, culminating at the Saint-Corentin Cathedral. Traditionally scheduled between Christmas and New Year, this year's event takes place on December 29.
The event attracts around 5,000 spectators, and prizes are awarded for the best costumes. Each runner receives a gift at registration, and a raffle is held at the end. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
