LA Cancer Challenge 2026
The LA Cancer Challenge is a community 5K Walk/Run held at UCLA's Wilson Plaza on Sunday, October 25, 2026. The event benefits the Hirshberg Foundation for Pancreatic Cancer Research and is presented as one of Los Angeles's long-standing Halloween events. Registration options include Team Captain, Individual, and Youth entries, with both in-person and virtual participation available.
The weekend program includes a Fit Family Expo with health and fitness vendors, a Candyland Kids Zone, music, entertainment, a kids costume parade, and an adult costume contest. The 5K course starts in Wilson Plaza and finishes outside Annenberg Stadium, passing campus landmarks such as the Bruin Bear and the John Wooden Statue. Packet pick-up takes place the day before the event at Big 5 Sporting Goods in Santa Monica.
Fundraising is a core part of the event; participant-raised funds support patient services and research. Parking is available in Lot 4 with self-service pay stations and posted rates ranging from $5 to $13 for short stays or $17 for all day.
