LA Cancer Challenge 2026
The LA Cancer Challenge is a 5K walk and run held on the campus of UCLA, identified as the 29th annual edition taking place on Sunday, October 25, 2026. The event benefits the Hirshberg Foundation for Pancreatic Cancer Research and has raised more than $12.1 million for pancreatic cancer research since 1998.
The event combines a race course that begins in Wilson Plaza and finishes outside Annenberg Stadium with a Fit Family Expo. The expo includes a Candyland Kids Zone, health and fitness vendors, music and entertainment, costume activities for children and adults, raffle prizes and a silent auction. A kids costume parade, adult costume contest and awards ceremony are part of the weekend program.
Participants can register as team captains, individuals or youth and may take part in person or virtually. Each registered participant pays a registration fee and can raise funds; fundraising levels are cumulative and linked to incentives. Sponsors support the event so that 100 percent of participant-raised funds go to patient support services and cancer research.
Practical details provided include a packet pick-up option the day before the event at a Santa Monica retail location and parking available in Lot 4 with self-service pay stations and variable fees. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
