KZ5K and Virtual Fun Run/Walk : Casey, IL
Casey In Action presents the KZ5K offered in two formats: an in-person 5K run/walk that begins and ends at 200 E. Main Street (next to the World’s Largest Rocking Chair), and a virtual 5K that participants may complete anytime and anywhere from their registration submission date until September 4.
Entry options include an in-person 5K and a virtual 5K. Groups of five or more who register together by August 15 receive a $5 discount per entrant; no late additions to those groups are allowed. A T-shirt is guaranteed for registrants who pre-register by August 15. Example registration pricing shown on the event page is $30.00 plus processing and taxes (listed total $33.75).
Pre-registrant race packet pickup is scheduled on September 3 and September 5 on the porch of Crazy 8’s BBQ, 107 E. Main St. On-site registration is available on the morning of the in-person event. Awards are presented to in-person participants: fastest overall male and female, and first through third in male and female divisions across multiple age groups including Under 10, 10-19, then by decades up to 80 and over.
Proceeds support Casey In Action community projects, the Casey Popcorn Festival, and Big Things in a Small Town, a local community improvement initiative. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
