Kyrene Rise 5K
The Kyrene Rise 5K is an inaugural community run and walk taking place in Tempe, Arizona on September 27, 2026. The event supports Kyrene students and programs and is described as family friendly, bringing together students, families, staff, and neighbors for a morning focused on health, wellness, school spirit, and community connection. All participants receive a custom finisher medal and a custom dri fit tech t shirt, with an option to decline the shirt for a reduced fee. The 5K includes chip timing, real time results and event photos, and male and female age group awards for the top three in each age category from 8 and under through 80 and over. Pre and post event refreshments are provided in a runner's brunch format.
Additional notes from the organizer: packet pick up is available the day before at a specified location and on race morning at the venue; mail in registration is accepted through September 20; the course may be changed if deemed unsafe. Wheelchairs, strollers and wagons are welcome. No roller blades, skateboards or motorized devices are allowed. The event is rain or shine and race related items will not be mailed to non attendees.
