49th International Kyffhäuser Berglauf
The Kyffhäuser Berglauf is a multi-discipline running and biking event held on 10 April 2027 in Bad Frankenhausen. Start and finish are located at Schlossplatz Bad Frankenhausen (August-Bebel-Platz). The organizer is the Kyffhäuser-Berglauf Verein e.V.
The event programme includes road running, walking and mountain bike disciplines across a range of distances and age categories. Registration opens on 1 November 2026 and closes on 4 April 2027. Personalized start numbers are available for entries completed by 21 March 2027. The organizer reserves the right to limit individual starter fields.
Included in the entry fee are a start number with transponder, medal, course and finish refreshments, and timekeeping. Time measurement is performed with a transponder system by go-timing. Medical support is provided on the course and in the finish area. Unsupervised parking is available in the town area. Accommodation is offered in a sports hall for a small nightly fee.
Awards are given for the overall top places for men and women; additional prizes and certificates are provided for several finishing positions. E-bike and walking disciplines do not receive a podium ceremony. Walkers faster than the stated minimum times are counted in the running classifications.
