Kootenai River Run 5K and 10K
The event is scheduled for July 19 in Bonners Ferry, Idaho, and is part of the Bonners Ferry Chamber of Commerce Kootenai River Days. The race is sponsored by Idaho Forest Group and is associated with local festival activities such as face painting, a corn hole tournament, a street dance, vendors, and a farmers market.

Both courses run in and around the city of Bonners Ferry and start and finish at the Boundary County Fairgrounds, located about four blocks west of town. Entry options include a tech t-shirt or a no-shirt option. Entry fees listed are $30 US ($40 Canadian) with a tech t-shirt and $15 US ($20 Canadian) without a shirt. Net proceeds are designated for local student running scholarships and to support the Bonners Ferry High School cross-country program. To guarantee a race shirt, entries must be received by June 30, 2025; a limited number of extra shirts may be available on race day. Entries are accepted on the morning of the race without a late fee. Registration and packet pick-up take place at the Boundary County Fairgrounds parking lot on race morning.
Aid stations are located at the finish line and near the 1 and 2 mile points for the 5k, and near the 1, 2, 4, and 5 mile points for the 10k. Trophies will be presented to overall male and female winners and ribbons to the top three finishers in specified age groups. A team prize is awarded to the lowest combined time for teams of five. Door prize drawings follow the race, with a grand prize of a $125 gift certificate toward running shoes. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
