About the race
Kolache Factory 5K/10K/Kids Dash in Houston takes place on March 6, 2027 at the Addicks Park and Ride in the Energy Corridor. The event uses a flat out-and-back course on Park Row Drive and offers in-person and virtual options.
Distances include:
- 5K Run/Walk (3.1 miles)
- 10K Run/Walk (6.2 miles, double loop of 5K)
- Kids Dash (parking lot loop, ages 1 to 12, untimed)
- Virtual 5K/10K from home
All 5K/10K participants receive a bib with an RFID timing tag, a tech shirt or women's tank, and a finisher medal. Kids dash participants receive a participant bib, tech shirt, and medal. Mile markers are placed each mile and water stations are available at the start and approximately midcourse; 10K participants pass the water stop on the second lap.
Parking is provided at the Addicks Park and Ride with accessible spaces and multiple entry points. There is no event day gear check. The Houston Fire Department is listed as the official medical partner and EMS will be available near the staging area. Post-race hospitality includes two complimentary kolaches for all participants.
Awards include a $100 Kolache Factory gift card for fastest overall male and female, age-group prizes, and one random bib will win a $50 gift card.
