Kolache Factory 5K/10K/Kids Dash
The Kolache Factory 5K/10K/Kids Dash is an annual running event held in the Energy Corridor of Houston, Texas. The race takes place on a flat and fast course specifically located on Park Row Drive, with the start line situated at the Addicks Park and Ride off I-10. This event commemorates the 45th anniversary of its title sponsor and pays tribute to the kolache, a traditional Texas pastry.
Participants can choose from a range of distances provided during the event:
- 10K Run/Walk (6.2 miles)
- 5K Run/Walk (3.1 miles)
- Kids Dash (1K, untimed for ages 12 and under)
- Virtual 5K/10K (remote participation option)
The course is designed for those running or walking. Following the completion of the physical races, fresh kolaches are provided to participants at the finish line alongside other post-race refreshments. The event has a history of reaching full capacity in previous years. Participation is open to various experience levels, and the Kids Dash provides a non-competitive option for younger runners.
