The Kolache Factory 5K/10K/Kids Dash is scheduled for Saturday, March 7, 2026, in Houston. Distances offered include:
- 5K Run/Walk - 3.1 miles
- 10K Run/Walk - 6.2 miles
- Kids Dash - untimed loop for ages 1 to 12
- Virtual 5K/10K - complete from home
The event uses an out-and-back, USATF certified course on Park Row Drive that finishes inside the Addicks Park and Ride at 14230 Katy Fwy, Houston, TX 77079. The course is described as flat. All 5K/10K participants receive a participant bib with an RFID tag, a tech shirt or women’s tank option, and a finisher medal; Kids Dash participants receive a bib, tech T-shirt, and medal. The field is limited to 1,500 registration spots.
Logistics and race details
Packet pickup is at Sun & Ski Sports, Memorial City Mall (326 Memorial City Mall) on the two days before the event. The Addicks Park and Ride offers accessible parking with two entry/exit points; one lot entrance may be closed on event day, with alternate access from the I-10 feeder road. Mile markers will be placed each mile. Water stations are available at the start and approximately mid-course; 10K participants pass the mid-course station on a second lap. Medical support is provided near the staging area. Awards include cash-equivalent gift cards for fastest overall male and female and age-group prizes; one random bib will win an additional gift card.
