Event

The Kodiak Mountain Series is a three-day stage race in Kodiak, AK, held June 18-20, 2026. The event consists of one mountain run each day, totaling about 20 miles and roughly 8,000 ft of cumulative elevation gain across three days. Registration opens January 10, 2026. The event is Trail Sisters Approved and lists Island Trails Network as an event partner.

Courses

  • Heitman Mountain - 5.91 miles, 2,238 ft gain; one-way, passes Heitman Lake.
  • Sharatin Mountain - 7.76 miles, 2,777 ft gain; single track to alpine, shale and rock.
  • Pyramid Mountain Loop - 5 miles, 2,138 ft gain; single track, flagged sections, road finish.

Competition and services

Overall results are the sum of times from all three stages; the lowest total time wins in the Men’s, Women’s, and Teams categories, with no age divisions. Each race also has a King of the Mountain (KOM) award for the fastest ascent, with no divisions. The event is sanctioned by USATF; cash prizes will be awarded to top finishers who are USATF members, and two bonus cash prizes will be drawn from USATF members.
