Kodiak Mountain Series
Kodiak Mountain Series is a three day stage race and team stage race in Kodiak, Alaska, held June 18 to 20, 2026. Results are based on the sum of each participant’s times from all three races, with the lowest total time winning the Men’s, Women’s, and Teams categories. There are no age divisions. Each race also awards a King of the Mountain for the fastest ascent to the top of that course, with no divisions.
The event uses steep single track and alpine terrain on local mountains, with views of surrounding peaks and the chance to see a whale spouting below. Detailed course maps, cut off times, and aid station information are available on the event website.
Course stages include:
- Stage 1 Heitman Mountain: 5.91 miles, 2,238 ft gain, one way, passes Heitman Lake.
- Stage 2 Sharatin Mountain: 7.76 miles, 2,777 ft gain, shale and rock sections, Shelly Lake.
- Stage 3 Pyramid Mountain Loop: 5 miles, 2,138 ft gain, single track, returns via road.
