Klickitat Trail Run
The Klickitat Trail Run is a community fundraising event organized by the Columbia Gorge Running Club with support from the Klickitat School District. It takes place at the Klickitat Youth Center, 92 Main Street, Klickitat, WA, and benefits the Klickitat School District and the local community center. The event follows the Klickitat Trail along the Klickitat River and highlights canyon walls and fall colors.

The half marathon is a point-to-point trail that starts near Lyle and finishes at the Youth Center. The course is described as medium technical with rocky sections and a gradual total incline of about 500 feet. There are two aid stations near miles 6 and 10, porta potties at the start and mile 10, and first-aid coverage at the 10 mile aid station. Shuttle buses run from the community center to the start locations; participants who miss shuttles are responsible for their own transport. All runners receive a reusable stuff sack/drop bag; drop bags are returned to the community center.
Registration opens May 15, 2026 and closes October 31, 2026; there is no day-of-race registration. The event is nonprofit and does not offer refunds, though rollovers to the next year are available in some circumstances. Volunteers are required to support the event. Awards are presented to the top three male and female finishers for each race. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
