Klickitat Trail Run
The Klickitat Trail Run is a nonprofit fundraising event on November 7, 2026 in Klickitat, WA, organized by the Columbia Gorge Running Club with support from the Klickitat School District. The event benefits the Klickitat School District and the community center and is based at the Klickitat Youth Center, 92 Main Street.

The half marathon is a point-to-point trail that follows the Klickitat River and begins at mile marker 0 in Lyle. The course is described as medium technical with rocky sections and a roughly 500 foot total incline. The trail is marked with mile posts. There are aid stations near miles 6 and 10, porta potties at the start and mile 10, and first-aid responders near the 10 mile aid station. The finish line is in front of the Youth Center.
Logistics note that shuttle buses transport participants from the Youth Center to start locations; buses leave on schedule and participants who miss the shuttle are responsible for their own transport to the trailhead. Parking is available at the Youth Center with overflow at the Klickitat school. There is no day-of registration. Race packets include a reusable drop bag and a wristband required for post-run chili and food service; drop bags are returned to the community center for pickup.
Registration opens May 15, 2026 and closes October 31, 2026. Registration before October 10 avoids a fee increase. There are no refunds; rollovers to next year may be offered. Volunteers are needed to support the event. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
