Kinloch Offroad Challenge - Event overview
The Kinloch Offroad Challenge takes place in and around Kinloch, Taupō on Saturday 5 September 2026. The event uses the local trail network and offers multiple measured course options on maintained trail terrain.
Distances offered:
- 42.2 km Marathon, course passes Kawakawa Bay
- 21.1 km Half marathon, includes a headland loop
- 10 km Run/Walk, follows trail sections including stream approach
- 5 km Run/Walk, follows the Whangamata stream area
- Trail Tigers Kids dash, run/walk format
Courses include shoreline, headland and stream-side trail sections and run on purpose-maintained tracks in the Kinloch area. All events start and finish at the event base on the Kinloch Domain by the Kinloch Community Hall.
Aid stations will not provide disposable cups; participants are expected to use a reusable cup, hydration pack or water bottle. Collapsible silicone cups will be available for purchase at the event base. All finishers receive a three-dimensional koru medal.
