Keji's Backyard Ultra 2026
Keji's Backyard Ultra takes place at Kejimkujik National Park and National Historic Site, located at 2 Jeremys Bay Campground Rd, Annapolis County, Nova Scotia. This is the event's fifth annual running and is scheduled for June 6, 2026. Registration and the race start and finish are at the Jim Charles Point parking lot.
The event uses an hourly loop format. Runners have one hour to complete an out and back loop of 6.67 km. If a runner exceeds one hour on a loop they are eliminated. Loops repeat each hour until only one runner is able to complete a loop within the allotted time. The course is on a gravel trail and shows roughly 35 metres of elevation change per loop.
The field is capped at 150 entrants. Announced prizes include CA$5000 for the winner, CA$1000 for the assist and CA$500 for the top female. Standard registration includes a Ciele NSTR custom running hat and draw prize eligibility. A waitlist is maintained for any spots that open.
Registration policies state a 75 percent refund available through March 1, 2026 and a 50 percent refund through May 15, 2026. Transfers are not allowed. Deferrals are permitted in exchange for a six hour volunteer shift at the 2026 event.
