Keji's Backyard Ultra 2026

The event takes place at Kejimkujik National Park and National Historic Site, with registration and the race site at the Jim Charles Point parking lot, 2 Jeremys Bay Campground Rd, Annapolis County, NS, Canada. This is the 5th annual edition and the race is capped at 150 runners; a waitlist is in place.

The format uses repeating hourly loops on a 6.67 km out and back gravel course. Runners must complete each loop within one hour to continue; exceeding one hour on a loop ends that runner's race. Loops continue hourly until only one runner completes the loop within the time limit.

Prizing listed for 2026 includes CAD 5,000 for the winner, CAD 1,000 for the assist, and CAD 500 for the top female. Volunteers from the 2025 event and the top female and male receive a free entry for the following year. The main registration includes a Ciele NSTR custom running hat and draw prize eligibility.

Cancellation and transfer policy: 75% refund available up to March 1, 2026 and 50% refund up to May 15, 2026. No transfers are allowed due to the waitlist. Deferrals are permitted if the registrant volunteers for a six hour shift at the 2026 event.
