Keji's Backyard Ultra 2026

Keji's Backyard Ultra takes place at Kejimkujik National Park and National Historic Site, 2 Jeremys Bay Campground Rd, Annapolis County, Nova Scotia, Canada. This is the fifth annual edition; the race is capped at 150 runners and was full.

The event uses a repeated loop format. Participants must complete a 6.67 km out and back loop within one hour. Loops repeat each hour until only one runner completes the loop within the allotted hour. Any runner who exceeds one hour for a loop is out of the race.

Prizing announced for 2026 includes CA$5,000 for the winner, CA$1,000 for the assist, and CA$500 for the top female. Volunteers from the 2025 event plus the top female and male receive a free entry for the following year. Registered runners receive a Ciele NSTR custom running hat and eligibility for draw prizes.

Registration policies: 75% refund available up to March 1, 2026 and 50% refund up to May 15, 2026. No transfers are allowed. Deferrals are permitted in exchange for volunteering a six hour shift at the event.
