Keji's Backyard Ultra 2026
Keji's Backyard Ultra takes place in Kejimkujik National Park and National Historic Site. Registration, start and finish are at the Jim Charles Point parking lot, 2 Jeremys Bay Campground Rd, Annapolis County, NS, Canada.
The event uses hourly loops of 6.67 km on an out and back course. At each hour, participants have one hour to complete the loop. If a runner finishes the loop within the hour they may rest until the next loop begins. This repeats each hour until only one runner completes a loop within the hour. Completing a loop in more than one hour ends that participant's race.
The race is capped at 150 runners and a waitlist is managed. The main event fee includes a Ciele NSTR custom running hat and draw prize eligibility. Refunds are 75% up to March 1, 2026 and 50% up to May 15, 2026. Transfers are not allowed. Deferrals are permitted if the entrant volunteers for a six hour shift at the 2026 event.
Prize updates list $5000 for the winner, $1000 for the assist, and $500 for the top female. Volunteers from the 2025 event and the top female and male receive a free entry. Organizers suggest considering carbon offsetting using the Tree Canada carbon calculator.
