Event overview
Keji's Backyard Ultra 2026 is a Backyard Ultra event held at Kejimkujik National Park and National Historic Site, at 2 Jeremys Bay Campground Rd, Annapolis County, NS, Canada. The event takes place on 6 June 2026. The race is capped at 150 runners and a waitlist is available. Registration for the main event is listed at CA$126.43 and includes a Ciele NSTR custom running hat and draw-prize eligibility. Refunds are offered at 75% up to 1 March 2026 and 50% up to 15 May 2026. Transfers are not allowed. Deferrals are allowed in exchange for volunteering a six hour shift at the 2026 event.
Format, course and logistics
The format uses hourly loops. Each loop is an out-and-back of 6.67 km. Runners have one hour to complete each loop; if a runner exceeds one hour on a loop their race ends. Loops repeat hourly until only one runner completes a loop within the hour. The course is an out-and-back on gravel trail. Registration, start and finish are at the Jim Charles Point parking lot.

Prizing and volunteers
Prize updates note the winner receives $5,000, the assist receives $1,000, and the top female receives $500. Volunteers are sought to cover shifts over the weekend; volunteers receive event swag, draw-prize eligibility, and a free entry into the following year.
