Keller Williams Premier Katy Labor Day 5K
The event is a community running program organized by Katy Area Running Club (KARC), a local 501(c)(3) non-profit associated with RRCA. It includes timed and untimed options and raises funds for The Ballard House and Ainsley's Angels.
The main 5K is a chipped, timed race on a certified course. Race registrants receive a race shirt and a chipped bib; registrants who sign up after August 15 are not guaranteed a shirt or their preferred size, and organizers will make reasonable efforts to accommodate shirts up to race day. Awards are presented to overall winners, masters winners, and age group winners in 10 year age groups.
The kids 1K is a special event for young participants. It is not a timed race and participants receive a prize at the finish.
Proceeds benefit The Ballard House and Ainsley's Angels of America. The Ballard House provides temporary, no-cost lodging and supportive services for people and their caregivers who travel to Houston for medical treatment. Ainsley’s Angels promotes inclusion by enabling people with special needs to participate in endurance events.
