Event Overview
The Wörthersee Halbmarathon is a classic road running event held along the shores of Lake Wörthersee in Carinthia. The official distance is 21.097 kilometers. The course starts in Velden at the Seecorso, directly in front of the Schlosshotel, and concludes in Klagenfurt at the "Running City" event area.
Participants can use a variety of service features provided by the organizer. A clothing transport service is available, allowing runners to drop off bags in Velden to be transported to the finish in Klagenfurt. Additionally, the BIB number serves as a free ticket for ÖBB trains between Klagenfurt West and Velden on race day.

Participation is open to runners born in 2010 or earlier. Due to safety considerations regarding narrow sections and the size of the field, wheelchairs, handbikes, strollers, and dogs are not permitted on the course.

The "Running City" at Metnitzstrand in Klagenfurt serves as the central hub for registration and bib collection. Runners receive a starter bag with various additives and a medal upon finishing. Professional timekeeping is provided via an integrated chip in the bib. Refreshment stations and pace-makers are also available during the race. While pre-registration is available online until mid-August, late registrations are possible on-site at the venue during the two days prior to the event.
