Kaagloop Werveshoof
The Kaagloop is one of the first running events in West-Friesland following the cross-country season, held annually on the last Sunday of January. The race features a fast course entirely on paved asphalt, starting from the Westrand sports park and winding through the village of Wervershoof, alongside the Kagerbos and IJsselmeerdijk. Participants can compete in various categories, including a 10 km race for men and women, a 5 km recreational run, and a Kids Run for elementary school children.
The event also includes a special title for the fastest local runner, known as the "Snelste Wervershover.". Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
Always double-check with the organizer's website – things can change, and we might have sprinted past a few details!
