33rd Annual JW Tiger 5K
The event is a 5K run held on August 15, 2026, in Meriden, Kansas at 210 N Miller. It is organized as a fundraiser for the school's Cross Country team to help purchase food, snacks, drinks and equipment.
The race is offered in two formats: an in-person race in Meriden and a virtual option for participants who run elsewhere. Virtual participants receive a t-shirt and a medal by mail. In-person timing will be provided by Morgan Sports. Registration opens June 8, 2026 and closes August 15, 2026; the registration fee is $30.
Awards are given to first through third place for both male and female runners in each of these age categories: 10 and under; 11 to 14; 15 to 19; 20 to 24; 25 to 29; 30 to 34; 35 to 39; 40 to 44; 45 to 49; 50 to 54; 55 to 59; 60 to 64; 65 to 69; 70 and over. Additional pottery awards are provided for the top three overall male and female finishers and are donated by a JW High School art teacher.
