Junior Leadership Run 5K presented by Pointe Homes
The Junior Leadership Run 5K is a fundraising running event on October 3, 2026, in El Paso, Texas, held at Deadbeach Brewery, 3200 Durazno. The event benefits the revival of the Junior Leadership El Paso program and is hosted by Leadership El Paso Class 47.

The Junior Leadership El Paso program is planned to serve approximately 40 high school students per cohort through a year-long experience. The program includes monthly full-day leadership sessions with professionals and civic leaders, exposure to key local sectors such as government, healthcare, education, the military, business, and the arts, a capstone community service project for each cohort, mentorship connections with adult professionals, and a formal graduation ceremony with an ongoing alumni network.
Awards include a trophy for the overall male and female winners in the 5K and medals for the top three finishers in each listed age category: 12 & under; 13–19; 20–29; 30–39; 40–49; 50–59; 60–69; 70 & over. Finisher medals are provided to the first 600 finishers.
Packet pick-up is scheduled on October 1 at Deadbeach Brewery and October 2 at Rocky Mountain Mortgage, 2244 Trawood Dr #100. For safety and insurance reasons, pets are not allowed to participate. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
