Journey Home Road Race in Devens, Massachusetts
The Journey Home Road Race is held annually around Veterans Day in Devens, Massachusetts on November 8th, 2026. The event benefits Clear Path for Veterans New England; 100% of net proceeds are designated for that organization.
Distances and event types include:
- 5k run or walk
- 5k non-competitive ruck
- 5k dog walk
- 10k run or competitive ruck with 35 lb or more required for the competitive ruck
The course is a 3.1 mile loop adjacent to the grounds of the US Army Garrison known as Fort Devens. The 10k is a double loop of the 3.1 mile course. The start and finish are located near the Clear Path for Veterans New England headquarters on Antietam Street. There is one water station on Antietam Street at roughly the 1.55 mile mark.
Awards are presented to the top three overall finishers in the competitive categories for the 5k run, 10k run, and 10k competitive ruck. All participants, including walkers, dog walkers and 5k ruck participants, receive a commemorative Journey Home dog tag medal. Packet pickup is available on race morning near race parking and the start and finish areas; minors under 18 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian who signs a waiver at pickup.
Registration is final with no refunds or deferrals. Bib transfers are allowed if requested at least one week prior to race weekend. The event includes a team program and a Sponsor a Hero option with signs placed along the Hero Mile for a fee. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
