Jordan River Marathon
The Jordan River Marathon is a trail-based marathon and half marathon held along the Jordan River Parkway Trail in South Jordan, Utah. The event uses sections of the 40 mile trail system and passes wetlands, ponds, golf courses, parks, and multiple bridges for a mostly off-road trail experience.
Distances:
- Marathon - 26.2 miles, +995 ft elevation gain, 99% paved trail
- Half Marathon - 13.1 miles, +226 ft elevation gain, 95% paved trail
Aid stations are positioned along the course and provide Tailwind, water, Honey Stinger gels and waffles, fruit, Coke and ginger ale, snacks such as Swedish Fish, and basic first aid supplies. Stations include toilets at many locations and trail marshals at major intersections; the course is marked with flags, ribbons, signs, and marshals.
On-site amenities and race features include free parking at East River Front Park, locally made finisher and age-group medals, a quality race shirt, a post-race breakfast from Great Harvest Bread, free race photos with no watermark, and live results. The organizer limits field size to protect trail access and facilities; volunteers receive a complimentary future race entry. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
