Course and logistics

Both races use selected miles of the Jordan River Parkway Trail, featuring wetlands, parks, ponds, golf courses, bridges, and paved trail sections. The marathon totals 26.2 miles with +392 ft elevation gain and is 96% paved trail / 4% sidewalk. The half totals 13.1 miles with +226 ft elevation gain and is 95% paved trail / 5% sidewalk. Courses are marked with pink flags, ribbons, signs, and trail marshals.

Aid stations are placed along the courses and typically offer Tailwind, water, Honey Stinger gels and waffles, fruit, Swedish Fish or similar snacks, Coke/ginger ale, bananas and grapes. Stations carry basic first aid supplies, Vaseline, IcyHot, and Ibuprofen. The half marathon has no cutoff time; the marathon follows a published cutoff policy.

Packet pickup is available Friday afternoon at the Salt Lake Running Company in Sandy, and on race day at the starting area. Registered participants receive a race shirt, a locally made finisher medal, free race photos, and a post-race breakfast provided by Great Harvest Bread.
