John Wesley Holt 5K Legacy Race
The event is a 5K race with an accompanying Fun Run held in Mobile, Alabama at 1400 S. University Blvd. It benefits the John Wesley Holt Foundation, whose philanthropic mission is to provide scholarships for the University of South Alabama College of Engineering and for St. Luke's Episcopal School.
The foundation was established in 2023 following the death of its namesake. The annual race commemorates that person by combining sport and recreation with support for education through scholarship awards distributed by the foundation.
The event is presented as a community running activity that pairs a timed 5K with a shorter, informal Fun Run. Location and beneficiary information are emphasized as the primary factual elements of the occasion. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
